MERRY CHRISTMAS IT'S ALL ABOUT WHO YOU FOCUS ON

MERRY CHRIST

OR

MERRY CHRIS+MAS

IT'S ALL ABOUT WHO YOU FOCUS ON...

So is it o.k. to FOCUS on yourself?
Let's do it!

Ever thought about what you REALLY want for Christmas?

New toys, gadgets, car, house, job, or romance? Why?
Is it wrong to be self-centered (focused) and get whatever we want without being judged by others?

Example: Have you ever wanted something soooo badly that you could almost kill to get it? Well, (not literally kill), but maybe we would lie, cheat, or steal to get it. Perhaps you think about it so much that it becomes an obsession or passion in your life?!
Should this be O.K?
Did you know that the Bible says we SHOULD focus on ourselves ...!...REALLY?...Well...we can get to that in a moment.
Do you remember that Christmas song: "Oh, come all ye faithful."..? What is faith? Something to move physical mountains with? Or the assurance of things hoped for? What do you hope for? Things, Dreams...Desires? The Old Testament speaks of wanting or desiring something or someone that belongs to or is the property someone else. Whether this is a neighbor's item or a spouse or a "gotta have it" advertisement on the internet or television.

The Bible says this is called covetousness. So what?!
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the COVETOUS, nor drunkards, nor revilers, swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God." This is not God's will but it is His Law. If you have broken any of these laws then the Bible states that you will end up in an eternal state of punishment called hell. Not a very jolly thought. It’s not suppose to be. It is like looking forward to cancer…no one does…NO ONE. But there is a cure and that is what God did. He became the Messiah (the one Handel wrote of in his music) and in the New Testament He is called Emmanuel (God with us.) Jesus the Messiah (the Christ) took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved: the wrath of God. He commands all men (and women) to repent and to turn to Him and trust what He did for us. We broke God's law with no way to pay it in full with nothing but an eternity in what the Bible calls the "lake of fire". Jesus said: We must be born again (born of the Spirit, old things pass away behold ALL things are becoming new).
The rest of the scripture from above gives us, {the unrighteous} THAT "hope":*** “And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God."
(I CORINTHIANS 6:9-11). Read the Bible daily and obey God in what you read.
***remember : There is nothing that you can do; to do what Christ has already done.
***If you could then He would not have had to do what He did.

THEY WEREN'T LOOKING FOR EGGS...

Matthew 28:6 “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
